Best Enshrouded Weapons 1.0: Tier List by Family

Verified for 1.010 min read

Daggers hit fastest (2.75× per second against 1.94× for two-handed weapons), but two-handed weapons last: 3.06 in total against 2.64. Pick the family your attributes feed — Bows and Daggers scale with Dexterity, Wands and Staves with Intelligence, the other melee families with Strength — then the weapon of it whose perks fit your build. Rarity does not change a family's multiplier.

Pick by job: two-handed for lasting damage, daggers for speed, wand or staff for Intelligence, bow for range, Fire for Lord Vorgoth. This is the Enshrouded weapons guide, not our Palworld one. Every number is read from the Enshrouded 1.0 game files (build 1267041). The files store damage multipliers, not the damage number the game shows, so nothing here is DPS.

A note on rarity: of the 222 Legendary rows in the 1.0 files (crafted copies and variants included), 219 span levels 1–55; 171 weapons with a page here are Legendary in the files: 18 always, 153 can drop at a lower rarity because the game rolls it when the weapon is generated.

How we ranked them

The files give three numbers per weapon that decide a job, and each one's field is named below. Everything else on the page is a count from the files or a player's word with a link.

  1. Hits per second = damage multiplier ÷ attack time. Fields dmgMod and attackTime_s. A dagger at 1.1× with a 0.4 s attack gives 2.75; a two-handed weapon at 1.5× and 0.775 s gives 1.94. It is a multiplier, not a damage number. We leave speedMod out because the files do not say how the game applies it.
  2. Lasts = damage multiplier × durability. Fields dmgMod and durabilityMod: how much damage a weapon deals before it breaks, relative to the other families.
  3. Tie-break inside a family: Critical Strike perks. Inside a family dmgMod mostly ties, so each top-five table sorts by the Critical Strike Chance plus Critical Strike Damage percentages on the weapon's five perk slots (perkSlots). Perks that need a set-up, such as Backstab, Sneak Attack and Retaliation, are shown but not counted. The pool is the 265 named weapons with a page that scale with the world (level 1–55), one row per name; crafted weapons sit at a fixed level and are in the folded list at the bottom.

What the files cannot tell you

The files hold multipliers, not the damage number you see in the game, and not the base damage per item level. That comes from players: one guide says weapons of the same kind at the same item level deal the same base damage, so perks and damage type decide (allthings.how, 1.0). Our files agree: in 10 of 12 families every weapon has the same damage multiplier.

The best weapon for each job

Seven picks. Named weapons come from a 1.0 build guide (KeenGamer, 17 Oct 2026) and are checked against the files; the numbers are the file's. Each name links to its page, which lists where it is found. For a whole build see the Warrior, Ranger and Mage pages.

  1. Two-handed weapons: best for raw melee damage and for lasting. 1.5× damage at 0.775 s a swing is 1.94× per second, and 2.04× durability makes 3.06 in total, the most of any melee family. Top of our tie-break: Head Pounder (Legendary, crit damage +60 %). Players name Champion's Axe for the Barbarian (KeenGamer, 17 Oct 2026).

  2. One-handed weapon plus shield: best for solo melee. 1× at 0.6 s is 1.67× per second, 1.83 in total. Top of the tie-break: Stonewrought Sword (Rare). The same build guide names Vesztah's Mace for the Warrior and Mace of Wrath for the Tank, both with the Crestflame Shield, and both are Common.

  3. Daggers: best for fast hits. 0.4 s a hit: 2.75× per second for the 21 daggers at 1.1×, 2.5× for the rest, the highest rate of any family. Durability 2.4×. Top of the tie-break: Circus Knives (Epic, 1.1×). Players name Solstice Daggers for the Assassin; a player list gives Circus Knives 35 base damage against 31 for other daggers at item level 26 (allthings.how).

  4. Wands: best for Intelligence builds. 1× at 0.6 s is 1.67× per second, 2 in total. Top of the tie-break: Polymath's Wand (Common, 100% Fire), also the Battlemage's wand in the build guide.

  5. Staves: best for spells. 0.5× and no attack time of their own: the spell carries the damage, so the rate cannot be compared with a sword's. Top of the tie-break: Staff of Guidance (Legendary), the staff the build guide gives the Battlemage and the Elemental Wizard.

  6. Bows: best for ranged. 0.5× because the arrows carry the damage, so 0.83× per second is not comparable either. 19 of the 62 bows have a higher speed multiplier (1.5). Top of the tie-break: Tarred Bow; Ignited Bow is the Ranger's bow in the build guide.

  7. Fire weapons: best for the final boss. Lord Vorgoth takes 120% Fire damage and 0% Shroud. Top of the Fire list: Polymath's Wand (Common, 100% Fire). The final boss guide has the build.

Is the fastest family also the best?

No. Daggers win the rate, but two-handed weapons win in total: 3.06 against 2.64. One-handed weapons and wands tie at 1.67 per second. Bows and staves look weak (0.83× and no attack time) because arrows and spells carry the damage, so their row is not comparable with a sword's. A dagger's name does not tell you its multiplier either: 21 of the 60 dagger rows are at 1.1× and the rest at 1×. Circus Knives appears 4 times in the files, so check which row you hold.

Common mistakes

  • Choosing by rarity. 222 of the 510 weapon rows are Legendary, yet 10 of 12 families give every weapon one multiplier, and the build guide's picks for the Warrior, the Tank and the Battlemage (Vesztah's Mace, Mace of Wrath, Polymath's Wand) are all Common. What sets them apart is the perk list.
  • Comparing a bow or staff with a sword. Their 0.5× is not weak: the arrow or spell carries the damage, so the file's rate for them is not comparable.
  • Reading a dagger's name as its stats. 21 of 60 dagger rows deal 1.1×, the rest 1×.
  • Copying a fixed-level weapon. 332 of the 505 named weapons scale with the world (level 1–55); the rest sit at one level.

FAQ

What's the best weapon in Enshrouded?

The weapon of the family your build scales with whose perks fit it; rarity does not change the family's multiplier. For raw hits and lasting, a two-handed weapon (1.94× per second, 3.06 in total); for speed, a dagger (2.75× per second). See every Legendary weapon.

Which weapon lasts longest?

Two-handed weapons: 1.5× damage and 2.04× durability make 3.06 in total, against 2.64 for the 1.1× daggers, 2 for wands and 1.83 for one-handed weapons. These are multipliers from the files, not hit counts.

Should I use a two-handed weapon?

If you scale with Strength and want damage that lasts, yes. Two-handed axes carry 1.5× damage against 1× for one-handed swords, with a longer attack (0.775 s against 0.6 s).

What is the best weapon against Lord Vorgoth?

One that deals Fire. He takes 120% Fire damage and 0% Shroud in the 1.0 files. By Fire share of damage, Polymath's Wand, Totem Wand, Wand Of Bloodflow lead the weapons with a page. See the final boss guide.

How many weapons are in Enshrouded?

510 in the 1.0 game files across 12 families, the largest being One-handed Swords (72), Bows (62), Daggers (60). 222 of those rows are Legendary (18 of the weapons with a page are always Legendary, 153 can roll it).

Where do I find legendary weapons?

219 of the 222 Legendary rows in the 1.0 files (crafted copies and variants included) are loot weapons with a level range of 1–55, not a fixed level. 171 weapons with a page here are Legendary in the files: 18 always, 153 can drop at a lower rarity because the game rolls it when the weapon is generated. Each named weapon's page lists where it is found, and bosses drop from their own loot pools — see a boss page.

How is the ranking worked out?

Hits per second is the damage multiplier divided by the attack time; lasting is the damage multiplier times the durability multiplier; inside a family, the top-five tables sort by Critical Strike Chance plus Critical Strike Damage perks.
