Unique equipment in Springlands (9)

The 1.0 journal collects one-of-a-kind named gear in seven sets, one per region tier. This is the tier-1 set, the Springlands tier: 9 named pieces.

2 of 9 lie in the world as a pickup: Fenrig's Axe (Springlands), Sacrificial Vukah Dagger (Revelwood). The rest are not placed objects in the 1.0 files, so they have no pin. Sets, tiers and levels: journal and gear tables of the 1.0 game files (build 1267041).

How to reach Springlands

Flame Level 1 - 2 required

Springlands is Embervale's starting region — you spawn here after the intro, so there's no Flame gate to cross.

Difficulty scales with distance from your first Flame Altar rather than a hard border: Revelwood opens to the north and the Nomad Highlands to the east.

Sub-regions

  • Low Meadows — Open grassy valley on the eastern/southern edge (enemies mostly level 3–9 in the 1.0 files) — early resource runs and a second Ancient Spire.

What to do in Springlands

  • Place your first Flame Altar, then upgrade the Flame to level 2 to open the rest of Springlands
  • Rescue the survivors who run the crafting stations, the Blacksmith first (the beginners guide has the order)
  • Gather Resin and Plant Fiber for the first tier of gear
  • Collect Shroud Roots (1 skill point each) and Elixir Wells (3 each) before moving on

Top threat: Scavenger Gorger Matron — in the 1.0 files she takes Ice ×1.4, Piercing ×1.3, Cutting ×1.2 and Shroud ×1.2, but only ×0.8 from Blunt, Fire and Poison. The Fell Thunderbrute is also placed here: Fire ×1.2, no Shroud damage (×0).

Counted from the game files: creature spawn points and placed items of each kind in Springlands, and the share of that kind's world-wide total. Counts placed objects from the 1.0 game files. Ore and stone veins in the terrain are not objects and are not counted. “show” opens the pins on our map.
