How to Beat Scavenger Matron
The second boss most players face — a hulking Scavenger matriarch who appears as two forms: the poison-spitting Gorger and the reinforcement-summoning Grizzler.
Her head is an ingredient of the Flame upgrade to level 3.

Where to find Scavenger Matron in Enshrouded
Open the full mapSources: enshrouded.wiki.gg (pre-1.0) for the boss data on this page. Enshrouded 1.0 was released on 2026-10-15; these values have not been checked against it.
The 1.0 game files hold two Scavenger Matron bosses by other names, the Scavenger Grizzler Matron and the Scavenger Gorger Matron; we have not matched the wiki's Scavenger Matron to either.
Strategy
Read the variant first: the Gorger punishes standing still with three-way poison, the Grizzler drowns you in adds. Bring Poison resistance for the Gorger and an AoE or fast weapon to clear the Grizzler's summons. She's an early wall — a shield and clean dodge timing carry the fight.

Attacks & telegraphs

- Gorger — Poison Spit
The Gorger variant throws poison in three directions toward you — sidestep out of the middle cone.
- Grizzler — Reinforcements
The Grizzler variant summons adds; focus them down before they swarm you.
