Gear

Only weapons and sets we can match to an item in the 1.0 game files. Tiers come from those files; a “likely match” agrees on 4–5 of 5 perk slots rather than all of them.

FAQ

Assassin vs Ranger Sniper?
Both live on the Ranger side of the tree. Keen's 1.0 notes moved the dagger skills from the Warrior area to the assassin tree, so the Assassin no longer needs Warrior points.
Best daggers for Assassin?
Circus Knives (T5–T7) and Valor Heart Daggers (T6) are the daggers we can place in the 1.0 files, both likely matches and both all piercing damage. Dagger Mastery raises dagger damage at any tier, and Thrust raises melee piercing damage.
Does this build work in groups?
Yes — Backstab Mastery raises damage from behind (its pre-1.0 description; 20% per rank in the 1.0 files), which is easier while someone else holds the enemy's attention.
