Enshrouded tools
The game client names 42 tools, from the Pickaxe you can craft by hand to the Celestium Pickaxe. This page lists each with the materials and station of its recipe; for the pickaxes it also gives the damage the files set against wood, stone and metal terrain.
Pickaxes & the Mining Sieve
The eight pickaxes and the sieve are the only tools the terraforming registry gives a damage figure. Wood, Stone and Metal are the three damage types of terrain; the figure is the damage of one hit against that type.

The Pickaxe is crafted by hand from 1 Stone, 4 Twigs, 1 String; the Scrappy Pickaxe is the first the Blacksmith makes. The files set no minimum pickaxe tier on any terrain material: a material has hit points and a damage type, so the table is what the files say, not a rule about which pickaxe may mine which ore.
Which damage type each ore takes
Of the 116 terrain materials in the files, 63 take Stone damage, 6 take Metal, 5 take Wood and 42 name no damage type. The ores:
| Ore | Damage type | Hit points | Voxels per item |
|---|---|---|---|
| Copper Ore | Metal | 8 | 8 |
| Iron Ore | Metal | 8 | 12 |
| Tin Ore | Metal | 8 | 10 |
| Silver Ore | Metal | 15 | 10 |
| Gold Ore | Metal | 17 | 10 |
| Celestium Ore | Stone | 20 | 10 |
| Diamond | Stone | 25 | 10 |
Where each ore lies is on the interactive map (Ores layers) and on the resources pages.
Axes
Eight axes, one per tier. The files hold their recipes and the client's text, and no damage figure. The terraforming registry lists no axe, so there is no chopping figure here. The 53 other axes in the game (Hatchet, Lucent Axe, Axe of Phobos and the rest) are weapons: see the weapon database.

The server files carry no English text: item names are the game client's own English item names (client build 1267041, exported by gettakaro/connectors) or our confirmed mapping, and anything without one is shown by what the files say — its numbers and, in monospace, the files' own id. Tools are the client items whose ids start with Tool_ and that have an English name (the game client's own English item names); recipes, stations and the pickaxe damage figures are from the server files (recipes-1.0, mining-1.0), item text from the client's own localisation, icons decoded from the game client.
