Gear

Only weapons and sets we can match to an item in the 1.0 game files. Tiers come from those files; a “likely match” agrees on 4–5 of 5 perk slots rather than all of them.

FAQ

One-Handed Warrior vs Sword & Board Tank?
Same kind of weapon, different job. The tank spends on armor, parry stamina and aggro: Heavy and Shiny Plates, Vigorous Deflection, Warden, Tower and Earth Aura. This build spends on one-handed damage (Warrior's Path and Slasher at full rank, Swift Blades, One-Handed Specialization, Veteran) and on finishing overpowered enemies.
How does the Merciless Attack loop work?
Merciless Attack hits an overpowered enemy. You overpower one by filling its stun bar, by parrying it or by hitting into its block (the pre-1.0 descriptions). In the 1.0 files Power Parry raises stun from parries by 10% per rank and Heavy Handed raises stun from hitting a block by 10% per rank. Opportunity adds 40% per rank to the Merciless Attack multiplier, and Breach makes an overpowered enemy take 100% more melee damage.
Best weapon for the One-Handed Warrior?
An all-cutting one-handed sword or axe: Warrior's Path raises one-handed weapons and Slasher cutting damage. Dimweald Axe (T1–T7, likely match) and Lesser Golden Twinflame Sword (T5–T7) are all cutting in the 1.0 files. Swift Blades' pre-1.0 description names one-handed swords and axes. Brute is left out because it raises blunt damage, and neither weapon deals any.
When does the One-Handed Warrior come online?
Warrior's Path and Slasher at full rank are affordable by level 7. The whole build is 48 points, complete by level 25 from level-ups alone. Spend later points on Constitution.
