Early Legendary Weapons in Enshrouded (1.0)

Verified for 1.07 min read

The 1.0 files put 7 Legendary weapons in one fixed spot in the first three Flame regions. Grab the Wailing Blade first (a gold chest in Springlands), then Talion's Bow in Revelwood, Valor Heart Daggers in Blackmire, and four in the Nomad Highlands: Dragon Sword, Lupa's Scalper, Soothsayer and Jezmina's Apotheosis. For fast melee take a dagger pair; for a weapon that lasts take the Soothsayer.

You do not need to wait for the Kindlewastes to hold a Legendary. The game places 7 of them by hand in the first regions, each in one container that is the same in every world: a gold chest, a skeleton, the ground, or the pack of one enemy. This page is the order to walk them in. For the whole list of Legendary weapons see the Legendary weapons page; for the best weapon of the whole game see best weapons.

Every number comes from the Enshrouded 1.0 game files (build 1267041). The files store damage multipliers, not the damage the game shows on the item card, so the page ranks by the stored numbers and nothing here is DPS. The positions are on our map: each weapon has a Show on map link.

What early means here

We call a weapon early when the files give it tier 1 to 3. Those are the weapons of Springlands, Revelwood with Blackmire, and the Nomad Highlands, the three regions the first Flame upgrades open (Flame level 1, 3 and 4). Typical enemy levels there run from 3 to 20 (the middle 80 percent of spawn points), so that is the range this page works in. The Kindlewastes start at 21.

Why only 7? The files name one Legendary weapon in one container for 7 early weapons. Every other Legendary is a random roll: a gold chest holds a pool of candidates, and the game picks by level and rolls the rarity when the chest spawns, so no guide can promise you a particular weapon from a chest. The 7 below are the ones you can plan a walk around.

Their level is not fixed. Each Legendary here scales with your world, from level 1 to the gear cap of 55, like any loot weapon. A Rare crafted copy of each one also exists, with a fixed level (see crafting one instead).

  1. Fixed place. The weapon is in one named container in the 1.0 server files (the same rule as the weapon locations map).
  2. Legendary and early. The loot row is Legendary and tier 1 to 3 in the weapon file.
  3. Ranked by two stored numbers. Rate = damage multiplier ÷ attack time. Lasts = damage multiplier × durability multiplier. A bow's multiplier is low because its arrows carry the damage, so a bow is not ranked against a sword.

Which one for which build

Pick by the job, not by the name. All 7 are Legendary, so the difference is the type and what scales it.

  1. [Valor Heart Daggers](/enshrouded/weapons/valor-heart-daggers): fast melee for a Ranger-leaning character. 2.5× per second, the top rate of the 7, with 2.4× durability. The files align it with Ranger (Dexterity).

  2. [Soothsayer](/enshrouded/weapons/soothsayer): a two-handed hammer that lasts. 1.5× damage at 0.775 s a swing, 3.06 in total, the most of the 7. Warrior (Strength). It is blunt damage only, so check what your target resists on the enemies page.

  3. [Wailing Blade](/enshrouded/weapons/wailing-blade), [Dragon Sword](/enshrouded/weapons/dragon-sword) and [Jezmina's Apotheosis](/enshrouded/weapons/jezmina-s-apotheosis): one-handed weapons for sword and shield. Same 1× at 0.6 s, 1.67× per second, and the same split (50% cutting + 50% fire). Wailing Blade is the one you reach first; Dragon Sword (Warrior (Strength)) and Jezmina's Apotheosis (Warrior (Strength)) arrive in the Nomad Highlands.

  4. [Talion's Bow](/enshrouded/weapons/talion-s-bow): the only early Legendary bow. For a Ranger who stays at range. Ranger (Dexterity). Its multiplier is 0.5× because arrows carry the damage, so judge it by the arrows you feed it.

  5. [Lupa's Scalper](/enshrouded/weapons/lupa-s-scalper): the Strength dagger. The same 2.5× per second as Valor Heart Daggers, but the files tie it to Strength: take it if you build Strength and still want speed.

Class in the files

Each weapon carries a class alignment and an attribute it scales with in the 1.0 files; the labels above are read from there. They are not a rule about who may use it. The builds that pair these types are on the builds page, and the skill trees are in the skill tree planner.

Craft one instead

7 of the 7 also have a crafted copy of the same tier: a Rare weapon of fixed level, made by a survivor from materials. The loot copy is Legendary and scales with your world; the crafted one is Rare at a set level, but you can have it as soon as you have the survivor and the materials, with no walk.

Mistakes to avoid

Do not expect a Legendary from every gold chest. The 7 above are fixed; a random gold chest rolls its rarity when it spawns. Gold chests are on the chest map and the gold chest routes.

Do not compare a bow with a sword by multiplier. Talion's Bow shows 0.5× and the hammer 1.5×, but the bow's arrows carry the damage.

Do not read the item level as fixed. The Legendary copies scale with your world; only the crafted copies have a set level.

Where to go next

The 1 in Springlands, 1 in Revelwood, 1 in Blackmire, 4 in Nomad Highlands are only the start. The next weapons of this kind are in the Kindlewastes and beyond: see the weapon locations map for all 38 fixed weapons, best weapons for the rank across the game, and the progression order for when each region opens.
