How to Get Eternal Arrows in Enshrouded (1.0)
Craft them. All 11 Eternal Arrows in the 1.0 files are crafted by two survivors, the Hunter (9) and the Collector (2, the bone ones), and a bow shoots them with Mana instead of ammo. The first one you can make is Eternal Frost Arrow I at level 10; the last tier is level 45. Two quests also hand one out.
- Eternal Arrows11of 44 arrows
- Item level10–45three tiers, I to III
- Crafters2Hunter and Collector
- Quests2each hands one out
A normal arrow is gone when you shoot it. An Eternal Arrow is not: you craft it once and keep shooting. This page is the order to do it in: who makes them, what they cost, which quests give one, and what to expect when you equip it.
Everything below is read from the 1.0 game files: the arrows, their recipes and the quests. What the files do not hold is said where it comes up, and listed at the end.
What an Eternal Arrow does
The game's own text for every Eternal Arrow ends with one rule: “Does not deplete Ammo per use. Equip the Eternal Arrow and use Mana to shoot it with a Bow.”
So there are two differences from the arrows you carry by the hundred. You do not run out, and each shot costs Mana. A bow with an Eternal Arrow equipped is closer to a spell than to a quiver. Spells have the same idea; see Eternal Spells.
There are 11 of them in the files, out of 44 arrows in all, in 4 damage types: ice (Frost), fire (Ember), shock (Voltaic) and blunt (Giant Bone). Each comes in tiers, and the tier sets the item level: Frost Arrow 10, 28, 45; Ember Arrow 15, 28, 45; Voltaic Arrow 20, 36, 45; Giant Bone Arrow 36, 45.
Step 1: Rescue the Hunter
Eternal Arrows are not found, they are made. 9 of the 11 come from the Hunter (Athalan Skree), and the 2 Giant Bone arrows come from the Collector (Alden Crowley). Both are survivors you rescue and move into your base. If you have not yet, the quest order for crafting says which quest brings each one.
Do the Hunter first: 9 of the 11 are his, and he also makes most of the plain arrows you will use in the meantime.
Step 2: Craft the one you can afford
Each craft yields one arrow, and one is all you need, because it is not used up. The table is every Eternal Arrow in order of level with what the craft asks for, straight from the recipe table. Materials with a page of ours are linked.

One recipe asks for plain arrows
Eternal Giant Bone Arrow I uses up 100 of an ordinary arrow (100× Giant Bone Arrow IV) on top of its other materials. Craft those in the same sitting; the arrow types guide has their recipes.
Step 3: Or take one from a quest
Two side quests end with an Eternal Arrow, and neither needs the materials above.
- Eternally Piercing gives the Eternal Frost Arrow I. It starts with Valory the Bard, who was shot by an enchanted arrow; the journal sends you to the Hermit Camp in Blackmire to find the arrows. It is one step.
- Magically Empowered Equipment gives the Eternal Frost Arrow III. Athalan Skree (the Hunter) sends you to the Worker's Ward in Cinder's Cradle, a flying island of Ancient machinery, to search for a crafting recipe for “magically empowered items”. The files put the quest at level 40, so it belongs to the last region.
The second quest says the recipes are finds
The journal step reads: “If you look around thoroughly, you may discover discarded research or blueprints that will unlock new crafting recipes for magically empowered items!” The files do not say which of the other recipes in the table are also unlocked that way. If the Hunter does not offer one you can afford, it may not be unlocked yet.
Step 4: Shoot it with Mana
Equip a bow, equip the Eternal Arrow as your ammunition, and shoot. Per the game's text each shot spends Mana. How much Mana a shot costs is not in the files, and neither is the damage number the game shows on the card, so we do not rank the arrows by damage. Open the weapon database to see each arrow's damage split and level side by side.
Plan your Mana the way a mage does. If you run dry, you fall back to plain arrows, so keep a stack of them. Bows themselves are listed under bows.
Which one first
Our advice, not a file value: start with Eternal Frost Arrow I. It is the lowest level (10) and the one the Bard's quest gives away. After that, pick the element by the enemy in front of you: the weakness chart in the enemies section shows which damage each faction takes most, and 4 damage types are on offer.
Giant Bone arrows are blunt damage and need the Collector, so they come last; check the chart before you spend materials on them.
What the files do not tell us
Three things, so you do not look for them here. Mana per shot. The damage number (the files store multipliers and shares, not the figure the game shows). How each recipe unlocks, apart from the one quest above. If you have seen any of these in game, check the in-game item card before you spend materials.
