Enshrouded Gold Chest Routes by Level (1.0)
There is no field of gold chests in Enshrouded: the 324 Gold Chests are scattered, and the densest spot in the whole game holds only 11. Run them by region as you level: Springlands (3–9) first, Nomad Highlands (16–20) has three stops with 24 chests, and Veilwater Basin (37–45) has four stops with 26.

You asked for the best gold chest route. The honest answer from the 1.0 files is shorter than a video title: there is no spot with dozens. The game places each Gold Chest by hand, mostly alone, so a "run" means a loop of a few dense spots, not a farm you stand in. The files we read also say nothing about a chest refilling, so this page does not promise one.
What it gives you: the 7 regions where chests do bunch up, the spots in them, how far apart they are and the order to walk them, from level 3 to 50. For every chest on one map see the chest map; for storage see the Magic Chest guide.
How the routes are built
The rule is ours, and the files hold no route. Every number is read from the 1.0 dedicated-server files (build 1267041).
- Region and level. A chest belongs to the region under it on the game's biome map. The enemy level of a region is the middle 80 percent of its spawn points, the same as the progression order.
- A stop. In each region we take the densest circle of 400 m around a Gold Chest, count at least 6 chests in it, remove them and repeat, up to 4 stops. 118 of the 324 chests land in a stop.
- The order. Nearest neighbour from the richest stop. The distance is a straight line between stop centres, in metres, not a walking path.
The loot tier column
"Loot tiers" is the item tier range of the loot pools attached to the stop's chests. A chest holds candidates from that range; the game picks by level and rolls the rarity when the chest spawns, so it is not a drop chance.

Route 5: Kindlewastes (enemies 21–27, Flame level 5)
Kindlewastes has 32 Gold Chests, but no 400 m circle holds 6 of them, so there is no route to run here. They are spread out: pick them up as you cross the region. Kindlewastes on the map; every chest is on the chest map.
The region also has 15 gold sarcophagi (a separate layer on the map). Locked gold chests: 2.
Route 6: Albaneve Summits (enemies 28–35, Flame level 6)
Albaneve Summits has 45 Gold Chests; 13 of them sit in 2 dense spots (each within about 400 m of its centre). Run them in the order of the table: 1.2 km in a straight line from the first stop to the last. Albaneve Summits on the map.

Hollow Halls gold chests by hall
The six Hollow Halls are not in the 324: they hold 13 more Gold Chests and 30 gold sarcophagi inside. They are the one place gold loot is packed into a single run, but each hall is a dungeon, not a walk.
| Hall | Level | Gold chests | Gold sarcophagi |
|---|---|---|---|
| Springlands Hollow Halls | 9 | 2 | 5 |
| Revelwood Hollow Halls | 14 | 2 | 3 |
| Nomad Highlands Hollow Halls | 19 | 6 | 5 |
| Kindlewastes Hollow Halls | 24 | 3 | 4 |
| Albaneve Summits Hollow Halls | 34 | 0 | 7 |
| Veilwater Basin Hollow Halls | 44 | 0 | 6 |
What a gold chest can hold
The loot settings of the gold chest templates draw only from weapons and equipment in the files: weapons 65.5%, equipment 34.5% of the candidate weight. No materials, food or ammunition. These are candidate weights from the loot tags, not drop chances. The full pool per chest type is on the loot page. For a Legendary you can plan a walk around, see early legendary weapons.
Common mistakes
Do not walk a loop expecting it to refill. We found no refill rule in the files; treat each chest as found once.
Do not count locked chests as gold. 26 Locked Gold Chests and 53 gold sarcophagi are separate layers on the map and are not in the 324.
Do not run a region above your level. Kindlewastes has no dense spot at all, so there is little reason to go early. Veilwater Basin holds the most chests in stops (26), at enemy level 37–45.
