Best Watering Pals in Palworld

Pals ranked by their watering work suitability level (1–4). Higher levels finish tasks faster and unlock advanced station tiers.

Watering is the work suitability that runs your farms — Berry Plantations, Wheat Plantations, Tomato Plantations, and similar — plus a few cooling-related stations. Without a Watering-suitable Pal assigned to each plantation, crops stop growing. Late-game bases that feed multiple Pals plus the player typically run two to four plantations in parallel; budget at least one Lv 3+ Watering Pal per base.

Practical tips

  • One Pal per plantation slot — adding a second Watering Pal to the same plot does NOT speed it up. Add a second plantation instead.
  • Pair every Plantation with a Pal having BOTH Planting (to seed) and Watering (to grow), or assign two separate Pals — one for each step.
  • Crops stop growing when the watering Pal is hungry or asleep. Keep a Cooler Box stocked nearby so the Pal cycles back to food fast.

Common questions

Can a Watering Pal also water nearby crops automatically?
No — assignment is per-station. The Pal walks between assigned plantations on its own; you can't queue work, only assign Pals to a slot.
Do I need a Water-element Pal for Watering?
Usually yes — almost every Watering Pal is Water-type, but a handful of dual-element Pals break the pattern. Always check the work-suitability badge, not the element.
