Kindling is the work suitability that powers cooking, smelting, and any flame-driven base station in Palworld. A Kindling-suitable Pal lights the fire under cooking pots and furnaces so they actually produce; without one assigned, the station idles. It's one of the first work skills you'll need — every base needs at least Lv 2 to keep an Improved Furnace running.

- Two Lv 2 Pals on one Lv 3 furnace will finish a task slower than one Lv 3 Pal alone, because the station only consumes one work-suitability slot per Pal per cycle.
Common questions
- Do multiple Kindling Pals stack at the same furnace?
- No — only one Pal can occupy a Kindling slot at a station. Add a second furnace if you need parallel smelting.
- Can I increase a Pal's Kindling level after capture?
- Yes. Apply Soul-stones at the Statue of Power. Each major rank lifts work suitability by +1.
- Is Kindling the same as the Fire element?
- Mostly, but not strictly. Almost every Kindling Pal is Fire-element, but a handful of dual-type Pals also carry Lv 1–2 Kindling as a secondary skill.
