Best Planting Pals in Palworld
Pals ranked by their seeding work suitability level (1–8). Higher levels finish tasks faster and unlock advanced station tiers.
Planting (game key: seeding) is what gets seeds into the soil at every plantation — the partner skill to Watering. A Pal with Planting walks up to a plantation that's missing seeds, drops them, and steps aside for the Watering Pal to do its job. You'll need at least one Planting Pal per base running farms; a Lv 2+ Planting Pal handles most mid-game plantations.

What each level unlocks
- Level 1
- Berry Plantation seeding.
- Level 2
- Tomato + Lettuce Plantation seeding.
- Level 3
- Wheat Plantation seeding.
- Level 4
- Late-game speed boost on all plantations. In 1.0 the ceiling is 8, so Lv 5–8 Pals seed faster still.
Practical tips
- Pair Planting and Watering Pals at the same base. Without both, plantations sit empty.
- Soul-stone a Lv 2 Planting Pal up to Lv 3 to handle a Wheat Plantation if you can't catch a natural Lv 3.
Common questions
- Why isn't my plantation seeding even with a Planting Pal assigned?
- Common causes: the seed inventory at the base is empty (refill from the chest), the Pal is sleeping (low SAN), or the plantation level exceeds the Pal's Planting suitability.
- Does Planting matter outside plantations?
- No — Planting only applies at plantation stations. Foraging crops in the wild doesn't use this skill.
