Pal eggs are world-spawn collectibles that hatch a free Pal after incubation. The six names on this map — Damp, Verdant, Scorching, Frozen, Rocky and Dragon — label the biome layer a nest sits on, not the egg inside it. A nest rolls from a weighted table, and only about one in six hands over the type its pin is named after, so search a layer for better odds rather than for a guaranteed type.

Each layer concentrates in one part of the world, so picking a layer mostly picks your destination: Damp nests are 91% Feybreak, Scorching 90% Mt. Obsidian, Frozen 89% Astral Mountains, Rocky 74% Twilight Dunes, and all 36 Dragon nests sit on Sakurajima. Spawns refill about 180 minutes after you take them on default world settings, so a good loop is worth re-running rather than replacing. What Pal hatches from each egg type?

Once an egg is in your hands its own type decides the Pal: Damp hatches Water, Verdant Grass, Scorching Fire, Frozen Ice, Rocky Ground and Dragon Dragon, and size — standard, Large or Huge — decides how rare that Pal is. The layer named on the pin is a separate thing. It weights which egg the nest gives you; it does not fix it.

Do egg spawns respawn?

Yes. An egg spawn refills about 180 minutes after you collect it on default world settings, and lowering the Gatherable Objects Respawn Interval speeds that up. The map's pins are the spawn slots themselves, not one-time instances — an empty-looking slot will come back.

Why aren't Common, Electric or Dark eggs on the map?

Because no layer is named after them — not because they never turn up. Nests roll from weighted tables that include them: on the table behind the 606 Damp-layer nests, a Dark Egg is the single likeliest pickup at 27.5%, ahead of a Damp Egg at 6.9%. Breeding at a Ranch and chests are the dependable sources; a nest is a lottery.

How do I incubate a Pal egg in Palworld?

Place the egg in an Egg Incubator (unlocked at Tech Level 7) and set the room temperature to match the egg type — Heaters for Frozen eggs, Coolers for Scorching, etc. Cake speeds incubation when used as a side resource at advanced incubators.
