Palworld Oil Rig Locations

Palworld has three oil rigs, all held by the Rayne Syndicate: the Test Drilling Rig off the Windswept Hills coast, the Rayne Syndicate Oil Rig east of the mainland, and the Platform Oil Rig far to the south-west near Feybreak. The map shows every container on them — 56 in all — and every one of the 267 guards standing between you and the crates.

Start with the Test Drilling Rig. The game labels it Lv.30, but its garrison is level 15 to 20, mostly Gunners and Hunters, so it is reachable far earlier than the name suggests. The Rayne Syndicate Oil Rig's guards are all level 55, and the Platform Oil Rig's run from 55 to 58, including Syndicate Laser Riflemen. Nine of the containers are marked as the raid objective; the rest are ordinary crates you pick up on the way through.

Frequently asked

Where are the oil rigs in Palworld?

There are three. The Test Drilling Rig sits off the Windswept Hills coast, the Rayne Syndicate Oil Rig is east of the mainland, and the Platform Oil Rig is far to the south-west near Feybreak. All three are on the map above with their containers and guards.

What level do you need for the oil rigs?

Measured from the game's data: the Test Drilling Rig's guards are level 15-20, the Rayne Syndicate Oil Rig's are all level 55, and the Platform Oil Rig's run from 55 to 58. The zone labels read Lv.30, Lv.55 and Lv.60, so the first rig is easier than its label implies.

What is in the oil rig chests?

We do not have a sourced answer and would rather say so than guess: no extraction we can check publishes a loot table for these containers.
