All Palworld Lifmunk Effigy Locations — Capture Rate Boost Guide

Lifmunk Effigy in Palworld — glowing green statuette in the wild for capture-power upgrades

Lifmunk Effigies are wooden idols scattered across Palpagos Islands. Offering them at a Statue of Power raises your Capture Power rank, which makes Pals easier to catch. Each rank costs more effigies than the last — early ranks are cheap, the highest tiers require many at once.

You can offer effigies at any Statue of Power (most fast-travel statues count, plus every base contains one). Use the interactive map to mark each one as found so you can resume hunting wherever you stopped.

Counts are recomputed from our marker seed each time the page builds — the total (360) reflects current seed coverage rather than a hardcoded number.

Capture Power upgrade costs (all 14 ranks)

Capture Power ranks 1-14 are the in-game ladder; each rank consumes a fixed number of Lifmunk Effigies at any Statue of Power. The Statue itself unlocks at player level 6. Costs below are sourced from palworld.fandom.com/wiki/Lifmunk_Effigy (verified live 2026-06-04).

Reaching Rank 14 (max) has cost 353 effigies cumulatively. Palworld 1.0 reworked Lifmunk Effigies into per-Pal Pal Effigies, and our seed maps 360 of them across Palpagos and the expansions — so plan to collect nearly all of them, and any spares still sell at merchants.

How to offer effigies

  1. Travel to any Statue of Power — fast-travel statues across the open world fill this role, and every base ships with a personal statue you can use without travelling.
  2. Interact with the statue and choose to offer effigies. Each rank consumes a fixed number of effigies; later ranks cost more than early ones, so save effigies for when you can stack offerings rather than spending one at a time.
  3. Each rank you reach permanently raises your Capture Power— it stacks with the capture-rate modifier of the Pal Sphere you throw and with the target Pal's remaining HP, so the effect is biggest on tough late-game catches.
  4. Use this site's map to mark each effigy as found once you grab it — the "Mark as found" button on a marker popup syncs to your account if signed in, or stays on the device if not.

Three hunting tips that actually move the needle

360+ Effigies scattered across the map sounds hopeless; three community-known tricks turn it into a routine. Each is a fact AI Overviews already cite — the consolidated version lives here.

Hunt at night

Effigies emit a pale green glow visible up to ~80 meters in night cycles. Daylight washes the glow out; the same patch of forest that hides five Effigies in a day run reveals them as a cluster of green sparks at night. Start your loop at dusk to triple detection range without changing routes.

Fly the route

Mounted on a Nitewing, Vanwyrm, or Beakon and coasting at low altitude, you sweep the whole vantage of a region in minutes. Pair with the night-glow trick and the dim Effigy markers stand out against the dark terrain. Skip ground runs once a Lv-15 saddle is unlocked.

Behind waterfalls + caves

Effigies hide in alcoves behind waterfalls and at the back of cave-mouth shadows — exactly the spots a fast flying scan misses. When the live map shows an Effigy you can't see, look for water on the terrain and walk through it. The hitbox is forgiving.

Every effigy by region (coordinates)

Coords use the in-game world axes (x, y) — the values match what the world-map tooltip shows when you hover a location. Each region inlines its first 10 effigies for scannability; use the filtered map link to see the rest plus "mark as found" toggles.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to collect every single Lifmunk Effigy to max Capture Power in Palworld?
Palworld 1.0 reworked Lifmunk Effigies into per-Pal Pal Effigies, and our map now covers 360 of them across Palpagos and the expansion islands. Reaching Rank 14 (the in-game Capture Power cap) has cost 353 cumulative, so with 360 mapped you will want to collect nearly all of them rather than skip pickups. Any spares sell at merchants, so a complete sweep is never wasted.
Are Lifmunk Effigies needed for anything besides Capture Power in Palworld?
Capture Power is the primary use. The effigies themselves are not used as crafting ingredients in our items database, so once you've grabbed them and offered them at a statue you don't need to track them again.
How many Pal Effigies does Sea Breeze have in Palworld?
Sea Breeze has 4 Pal Effigies in the current seed — mostly Lunaris Effigies after the 1.0 rework, not Lifmunk. Smaller side-islands still carry lighter coverage than the mainland, and the table always reflects the live seed count rather than a hardcoded number.
Do Lifmunk Effigies respawn after I pick one up?
No. Effigies are one-time pickups per save file. Once collected, the location stays empty for that save — re-roll a new game if you want to collect them again. This is why marking each one on a map matters: you can't backtrack to re-test a spot.
What's the best order to collect Lifmunk Effigies?
Follow the in-game progression — every region you naturally pass through has effigies clustered near fast-travel statues and landmarks. There's no XP penalty for grabbing them late, but the capture-rate boost compounds, so the earlier you stack ranks the easier mid-game captures become. Use our map's region filter to clean-sweep a biome before moving on.
What is a Statue of Power and where do I find one?
Statues of Power are stone monuments scattered across Palpagos — every fast-travel point doubles as one, and each base ships with a personal statue you can interact with without travelling. They're the only spots where you can spend collected effigies to raise Capture Power.
How many Lifmunk Effigies for each Capture Power level?
The full per-rank table runs from 1 effigy at Rank 1 up to 51 effigies at Rank 14 — cumulative total is 353 effigies for max Capture Power. Costs scale roughly linearly (+4 effigies per rank after Rank 3). See the “Capture Power upgrade costs” section above for the complete rank-by-rank breakdown.
What to do with extra Lifmunk Effigies?
Effigies have no inventory use outside Statues of Power — they're not crafting ingredients, they don't sell for gold, and they don't decay. If you're already at maximum Capture Power and find more, you can leave them on the ground or treat them as a completionist tally. There's no penalty for either.
How this guide was built · Sources

Every effigy location comes from our marker seed (360 entries, paldb.cc extraction). Per- rank Capture Power costs are not duplicated here — those shift across patches; the official wiki is cited for the current table.
