Palworld Dungeon Locations — Every Cave on the Map
Palworld dungeons are caves at fixed entrance points — an entrance never moves, so a pin here is good for the life of your save. What changes is whether the cave is currently open: a dungeon closes when its timer runs out and reopens about 299 minutes later. The map below pins every entry — open the popup for the cave's name and source, then plan mini-boss routes, ancient civilization parts, or a tech-point grind without backtracking.
The mini-boss is the part worth farming, and you don't wait for it: walk back to the previous room until the boss despawns, then return, and a different Alpha from that dungeon's pool takes its place. Repeat until you get the one you want — no timer involved. Palworld 1.0 also ended the cave-only rule: Daedream, Bushi, Loupmoon and Felbat all spawn on the surface now — Bushi in 42 surface zones against 2 cave ones — so dungeons are a loot and mini-boss run rather than the only way to meet them.
Dungeon entrances on the interactive map count every confirmed cave across Palpagos plus the Sakurajima and Feybreak expansion areas. Counts move with each game patch — open the map to see the live total.
Do dungeon contents reset?▾
The mini-boss does, and not on a clock. Leave the boss room and head back to the previous room until the boss despawns, then walk in again — a different Alpha from that dungeon's pool spawns in its place, and you can repeat it until you get the one you want. The cave layout itself stays broadly the same between visits. Separately, a dungeon that has closed reopens about 299 minutes later.
How do you reroll a dungeon boss in Palworld?▾
Enter the boss room and check which Alpha appeared. If it isn't the one you want, run back to the previous room until its health bar disappears, which means it despawned, then return to the boss room. A new random Alpha from that dungeon's pool takes its place. There is no waiting period, so you can cycle through until the right one shows up.
How long do dungeons take to respawn?▾
About 299 minutes — just under five hours — after a dungeon closes. The timer keeps running while you're logged out, so dungeons open and close whether or not you're playing. It also doesn't tick down while you're inside: enter with two minutes left and you can still clear the cave at your own pace.
Which Pals only spawn in dungeons?▾
Palworld 1.0 mostly ended the cave-only rule — Daedream, Bushi, Loupmoon and Felbat now spawn on the surface too. A few Pals still favour caves (for example Killamari and some biome-locked spawns), but far fewer than before 1.0. For any Pal's exact spawn table, open its detail page on Pindrop and check the Habitat section.
How do I get to dungeons inside Sakurajima or Feybreak?▾
Both expansions add their own dungeon entrances accessible from each region's fast-travel network. Toggle the Sakurajima or Feybreak region filter in the sidebar to isolate just those entrances.
