Pals ranked by their Gathering work suitability level (1–8). Higher levels finish tasks faster and unlock advanced station tiers.

Gathering is the work suitability that picks crops at plantations, harvests Wool/Eggs/Honey at Ranches, and collects items from any drop-zone station. Every base running farms or ranches needs at least one Gathering Pal; otherwise harvested crops sit on the ground until you pick them up manually.

Common questions

Do Gathering Pals also collect from foraged trees?
No — Gathering applies only to plantation/ranch outputs. Wild tree foraging is on Lumbering, and stones from boulders use Mining.
What's the difference between Gathering and Transport?
Gathering picks items up; Transport carries them between stations and into storage. A base running farms needs both.
