One ladder, ten rungs

Each pile draws from the table of the biome it sits in, and the ten tables are a single progression rather than ten flavours. The Gold Coin band rises without a break from 1,000-1,200 on the lowest table to 6,000-6,500 on the World Tree, and the sphere and key climb with it: the two grassland tables pay a Pal or Mega Sphere with a Copper Key; forest, volcano and desert pay Giga or Hyper with Silver; snow, Sakurajima, Dark Island and Sky Island pay Ultra, Legendary, Ultimate and Sol with Gold; the World Tree pays the Ancient Sphere. Dog Coins are on every table and grow the same way, from 2-5 a pile to 22-26. The ordering is ours — paldb publishes no tier number, only the tables it is derived from.

Strategy tips

  • Ancient Civilization Cores come off the 24 World Tree piles at 20%, 1-3 at a time, and no Palpagos junk table lists them at any rate — which matches the item's own in-game line, "nearly impossible to find on the Palpagos Islands". The piles are not the richest source: the Oil Rig greater chests pay 1-5 at 55% (Lv 55) and 44% (Lv 60), and every expedition from Snow upward pays at least one. They are the source you can walk to and search again five hours later.
  • All five Ancient Relics — Decayed 12.6%, Dormant 6.3%, Gorgeous 3.15%, Glowing 1.6%, Glistening 0.8% — are on that same World Tree table and on no other junk table.
  • For Dog Coins alone the Dark Island piles are the Palpagos best: 153 of them, 18-22 a pile at 40%. The World Tree pays more per pile (22-26 at 50.4%) but there are only 24.
  • The refill is about five hours, so the piles reward a fixed circuit rather than a camp — clear a ring of them and the first is ready by the time you finish.
  • Gold Keys appear on the Snow table and everything above it; below that it is Silver, and the two Grassland tables give Copper.

Three routes, and the junk piles are the smallest. Every raid boss drops Cores — Bellanoir, Bellanoir Libero, Blazamut Ryu, Xenolord, Hartalis and Moon Lord — while Silvance and Dandilord each drop one at 100%. The exact table follows the biome: a Windswept Hills pile pays a Pal Sphere, 1,000-1,200 Gold Coins and a Copper Key, while a Dark Island pile pays an Ultimate Sphere, 4,000-4,500 Gold Coins and a Gold Key. Nails, Cement and Circuit Boards fill the rest depending on the tier.
