Astral Mountains is the densest source — 402 of the game's 534 quartz nodes (75%) sit there.

Sakurajima is not where the quartz is any more. 1.0 increased the amount of Pure Quartz obtainable in snowy regions, and Astral Mountains sits on the original Palpagos map — no progression gate. Sakurajima (55), Verdant Brook (34), Outlying Isles (26) fill in the rest.
