Where to Get Pure Quartz in Palworld

534 Pure Quartz nodes sit across Palpagos Islands and Sakurajima. 402 of them live in Astral Mountains — the next-densest region is Sakurajima (55 nodes). Below: the per-region breakdown, the mining Pals that clear nodes fastest, and what Pure Quartz crafts.

The best place to farm Pure Quartz

Astral Mountains is the densest source — 402 of the game's 534 quartz nodes (75%) sit there.

Sakurajima is not where the quartz is any more. 1.0 increased the amount of Pure Quartz obtainable in snowy regions, and Astral Mountains sits on the original Palpagos map — no progression gate. Sakurajima (55), Verdant Brook (34), Outlying Isles (26) fill in the rest.

Place a base inside a node cluster, assign 2-3 mining Pals (see below), and the quartz piles up passively. Nodes respawn on a ~1 in-game day cycle.

Best mining Pals for quartz

Quartz nodes break to any mining-capable Pal. Higher Mining Lv means faster breaks and a bigger passive yield. These four are our picks — all verified on our mining tier list.

  • Astegon Palworld portrait
    AstegonMining Lv 7

Top-tier endgame miner. Mining Lv 7 + Dragon damage clear nodes fast — after 1.0's Work Suitability overhaul only Aegidron (Mining Lv 8) mines harder, with Blazamut and Knocklem tied to Astegon at Lv 7.

  • Anubis Palworld portrait
    AnubisMining Lv 6

A-tier all-rounder. Mining Lv 6 plus Handiwork Lv 6 — the best generalist worker to leave on a quartz base.

  • Digtoise Palworld portrait
    DigtoiseMining Lv 4

Mid-game Mining Lv 4 and an easy catch. Its rolling attack chews through mineral nodes with no pickaxe input.

  • Reptyro Palworld portrait
    ReptyroMining Lv 5

Mining Lv 5 + Kindling Lv 5. Solid base miner that doubles as a furnace tender for the ingots you smelt alongside quartz runs.

What Pure Quartz crafts

Pure Quartz is an electronics-tier material. The Pure Quartz item page lists the full recipe tree; the headline use is below.

There is no Pure Quartz Mine

Several guides describe a Pure Quartz Mine base structure that produces quartz the way the Coal Mine produces coal. This page carried one too, with a Technology level and a build cost. It does not exist: the four mining structures in Palworld are the Stone Pit, the Ore Mining Site, the Coal Mine and the Sulfur Mine, and quartz is not among the things a base can produce on its own.

So the clusters above are the answer, not a stopgap until a structure unlocks. Field nodes come back about 30 minutes of real time after you break them, which makes a rotating route between two or three clusters the closest thing to a passive quartz supply.

Frequently asked questions

Where do you find Pure Quartz in Palworld?
Pure Quartz comes from quartz mineral nodes, the pale crystalline rocks scattered across the higher-tier biomes. The Astral Mountains are far and away the densest source, holding 402 of the game's 534 quartz nodes (75%) — and they sit on the original Palpagos map, no progression gate. Sakurajima, which you reach by progressing rather than buying (it is part of the base game, not a paid expansion), holds 55; Verdant Brook has 34, the Outlying Isles 26 and Twilight Dunes 17. The Sea Breeze Archipelago has none.
What is the best place to farm Pure Quartz?
The Astral Mountains. 1.0 increased the amount of Pure Quartz obtainable in snowy regions, and the Astral Mountains now hold 402 of the game's 534 quartz nodes (75%) — more than every other region combined. Sakurajima is a distant second at 55. Either way, set a base inside a node cluster and assign mining Pals so the quartz piles up passively.
Can you get Pure Quartz before unlocking Sakurajima?
Yes — and after 1.0 you barely need Sakurajima at all. Sakurajima holds only 55 of the 534 quartz nodes; the Astral Mountains on the original Palpagos map hold 402 (75%), with Verdant Brook (34), the Outlying Isles (26) and Twilight Dunes (17) filling in the rest. 1.0 explicitly increased the amount of Pure Quartz obtainable in snowy regions, so the base map is now the better farm.
Which Pal is best for mining Pure Quartz?
Any mining-capable Pal breaks quartz nodes. After 1.0's Work Suitability overhaul the chart tops out at Aegidron (Mining Lv 8), with Astegon, Blazamut and Knocklem at Lv 7; Anubis (Mining Lv 6) is the best generalist; Digtoise (Mining Lv 4) is the easiest early catch and clears nodes with its rolling attack. Work Suitability now runs to 10, and every rank-up raises one of a Pal's Work Suitability Levels — so a ranked-up miner out-produces its base sheet.
What is Pure Quartz used for in Palworld?
Pure Quartz is an electronics-tier material. Its headline use is the Circuit Board, which in turn gates the production line for advanced tech — the higher assembly stations, electric infrastructure, and the gear that depends on circuit boards. If you're pushing into the tech tree, you'll be mining quartz steadily.
Do Pure Quartz nodes respawn?
Yes — like other mineral nodes, quartz regenerates on a real-time cycle (roughly one in-game day). A base placed in a node cluster with two or three mining Pals keeps a steady supply coming in without you mining each node by hand.
