How to Get Sulfur in Palworld

Sulfur comes from sulfur nodes — the yellow-crusted mineral rocks concentrated in the volcanic parts of the map. Mt. Obsidian holds the largest share by a wide margin; the Astral Mountains are the next-best source, with smaller pockets in Bamboo Grove, Twilight Dunes, and on Sakurajima.

Mt. Obsidian — the volcanic region in the northeast. It holds more sulfur nodes than every other region combined. The terrain is endgame-tier and deals fire/heat damage, so bring heat-resistant armor and ideally a Fire-immune mining Pal like Blazamut. Set a base near a node cluster to farm it passively.

Any mining-capable Pal works. Because most sulfur sits in lava terrain, a Fire-element or Fire-immune miner is ideal — Blazamut (Mining Lv 4) shrugs off the heat. For a general base, Astegon (Mining Lv 4) and Anubis (Mining Lv 3) are the strongest picks; Digtoise (Mining Lv 3) is the easiest early catch.

Sulfur is the backbone of Palworld's ammunition and explosives economy — it feeds the Gunpowder line that your firearms, shells, and grenades depend on. If you're building toward gun-based combat or explosives, you'll be farming sulfur regularly, which is why a Mt. Obsidian base pays off.

Yes. Like other mineral nodes, sulfur regenerates on a real-time cycle of roughly one in-game day. Build a base inside a node cluster, assign two or three mining Pals, and the pile refills itself while you handle other content.

It's possible but slow. The richest sulfur fields are in Mt. Obsidian, an endgame-level volcanic zone that punishes underleveled players. Early on you can pick up the smaller Bamboo Grove and Twilight Dunes deposits; the serious sulfur farm opens up once you can survive the volcano.
