Where to Find Water in Enshrouded

CommonMaterials

Water is not an item you pick up: crafting draws water charges — 107 recipes in the 1.0 files use them. Keen's water rework says where charges come from: the crafting station's own water, wells in your base, or a filled Water Pouch. The Carpenter builds two wells, and the number of water sources the 1.0 BalancingTable allows grows with the Flame level, from 1 to 50. Details ↓

“Reworked all crafting recipes containing water as a resource to now work with water portions instead of water pouch items. Water charges can be derived from the water contained in the crafting factory itself, from wells in the base or from filled water pouches.”
Keen Games, Enshrouded: Wake of the Water Update (2025-11-10)
“Rainwater can now be collected in specific water barrels to be used as a crafting resource, for filling a pool or using for irrigation, among others.”
Keen Games, Enshrouded: Wake of the Water Update (2025-11-10)
  • Our map has no layer for lakes or rivers — open water is terrain, not placed objects — so there is no water-location count.
  • The two Keen lines above are from the Wake of the Water update (Nov 2025), before 1.0; the 1.0 changelog does not restate them.
  • Well and bucket names are not in our 1.0 files; they are described from the files' ids.
