Palworld Glistening Ancient Relic: Best Way to Farm
In Palworld 1.0, the steadiest source of Glistening Ancient Relics is the World Tree Hard expedition: one 2-hour run is worth about 1.14 relics in the game files, against 0.16 for the 1-hour normal one. For active farming, kill the level 80 Aura Pals: 49 of the 72 species drop one 25% of the time, while ordinary World Tree Pals give 2%.
- Hard expedition1.14 per run2 hours, about 0.57 an hour
- Aura Pals25% a kill49 of 72 species
- Field bosses10% a kill5 of 6 bosses
- Ordinary Pals2% a killlevels 70 to 78
The Glistening Ancient Relic is the rarest of the five World Tree relics, and every source of it is in the World Tree. Existing pages give the recycler's odds; this one answers where to get the relic. Chances are the 1.0.5 game tables' own; the ranking is ours.

What the relic is and where it exists
The Glistening Ancient Relic is the top grade of the World Tree relics, after Decayed, Dormant, Gorgeous and Glowing. The game's text calls it "in very good condition, light is leaking from within". In the tables it appears only in World Tree drop rows, the two World Tree expeditions and World Tree reward lotteries such as treasure chests and fishing spots.
What it is for: the Ancient Relic Recycler (Tech Lv 74) turns relics into materials; the Ancient Civilization Cores guide has its reward odds.
The Hard World Tree expedition
An expedition runs on a real-time timer while your Pals are away. The normal World Tree expedition takes 1 hour and the Hard one 2 hours. Reading each reward roll as the tables give it, a Hard run pays about 1.14 Glistening Ancient Relics, which is 0.57 an hour, or one relic every 1.76 hours. The normal expedition pays 0.16 a run, 0.16 an hour, or one relic every 6.19 hours. The Hard one is better per hour by a wide margin.
The Hard expedition's table recommends a party strength of 2,100,000, against 851,000 for the normal one. The expedition table ties both to the World Tree boss: the normal expedition to defeating it, the Hard one to defeating it too and then the Hard version of the fight. Expect to clear the World Tree boss first.

Level 80 Aura Pals
The World Tree has an Aura spawner with 21 placements. Every Pal it spawns is level 80, and a level 80 Pal uses the top drop row. Of the 72 species the spawner lists, 49 drop a Glistening 25% of the time, 5 drop it 2% of the time, and 18 never do. Picking the species with equal weight, as the file lists them, that is about 0.17 per kill, or one relic every 5.8 kills.
The Aura is the one place the files give a high rate per kill, so it is the best active farm. The dots below are the 21 placements.

What is not in the files
How quickly an Aura Pal respawns, and how often a placement spawns one at all: the spawner holds one extra row with a filler name and a large weight, and the files do not say what the game does with it. So the rate above is per Aura Pal killed, not per minute.
World Tree field bosses
The World Tree has 6 field bosses (alpha Pals). 5 of them drop a Glistening 10% of the time: Renjishi (level 78), Moldron Cryst (level 78), Mycora (level 78), Celesdir Noct (level 79), Aegidron (level 79). Whalaska Ignis (level 74) drops none. At 10% a kill that is one relic per 10 bosses, but each boss is one fight at a fixed spot, so it is a supplement, not a farm.
Everything else
Ordinary World Tree Pals are levels 70 to 78 and use the lower drop row: 2% a kill for 36 of the 37 species, one relic per 50 kills. It is the slowest way and worth it only for the other World Tree drops you want anyway.
Chests and fishing are weak. In the World Tree treasure chest's first reward slot a Glistening is 0.51% of one roll, 1 to 3 relics; the World Tree fishing spot's first slot is 0.28%. They are worth opening, not worth planning a session around.
How the numbers were read
Three rules, so you can check them. A Pal of a given level uses the drop row with the highest level tier not above its own; the game code that chooses the row is not in the files, so this is the plain reading of the table. A reward slot is one roll, with chance equal to the item's weight over the slot's total. And an expected quantity assumes the minimum-to-maximum range is uniform, because the files give only the range.
All figures come from the Palworld 1.0.5 server tables. If Pocketpair changes them, the figures here will be re-read.
