Hexolite Quartz is found only on Feybreak, and it is the most plentiful endgame ore we have mapped — more nodes than Chromite or Soralite. Deserted Ash Plateau, Scorched Ashland and Scorched Hill are the three densest areas. Celesdir drops 2-3 at a 100% rate, and the Hard Feybreak Expedition returns 10-20 per run according to paldb. Once you reach Technology level 62 you can stop mining it entirely: the Hexolite Quartz Mine building produces it passively, for a one-off cost of 100 Hexolite Quartz.
