How to Breed Tombat

Darkrank 2340160 parent pairs

Fastest way to breed Tombat

Ranked by how early you can catch both parents — Lv is the lowest level each one spawns at in the wild.

A longer route?

No route through an extra egg starts meaningfully lower — this pair is already the earliest way in.

★ special combo — a fixed pair that overrides the usual rule. Lv = lowest level the Pal spawns at in the wild on Palpagos; “bred” = it does not spawn there.

Or hatch it

Tombat hatches from a Large Dark Egg. Wild nests draw their egg from a weighted table, so any of the 1,786 nests on the map can hold one and none promises it. Incubate it cold: Place a Cooler (any tier) next to the incubator, or build in a snowy/desert-cold biome. All 1,786 nests on the map →

How breeding works

  1. 1Reach Tech Level 19 to unlock the Breeding Farm; place it on your base.
  2. 2Build a Cooking Pot (Tech Level 17) and bake a Cake from 5 Flour, 8 Red Berries, 7 Milk, 8 Eggs, and 2 Honey. Without the Cake the parents will not produce an egg.
  3. 3Catch the parent pair you picked above — one male and one female.
  4. 4Pick up each parent and drop them into the Breeding Farm fence. Place the Cake in the feed box just outside.
  5. 5Wait about five minutes of real time for the yellow breeding circle to complete; an egg will appear in the farm.
  6. 6Place the egg into an Egg Incubator. After it hatches you have your Tombat.

Frequently asked

Can you breed Tombat in Palworld?
Yes — there are 160 viable parent combinations. Pair any of them in a Breeding Farm (Tech Level 19) with a Cake to start hatching Tombat.
What two Pals make Tombat in Palworld?
The pair you can catch earliest is Mimog + Pupperai: Mimog spawns in the wild from level 10 and Pupperai from level 2. The pair made of the commonest Pals is Blue Slime + Needoll Noct. It is one of 160 parent pairs that produce Tombat.
What level do I need to breed Tombat in Palworld?
The Breeding Farm itself unlocks at Tech Level 19 — that's the gating requirement, not the parents' combat level. Both parents need only be captured (any level), opposite gender, and fed Cake in the farm's feed box. Cake is baked at a Cooking Pot (Tech Level 17) from 5 Flour, 8 Red Berries, 7 Milk, 8 Eggs, and 2 Honey.
Can Tombat be bred in the early game?
The earliest pair, Mimog + Pupperai, needs Pals that spawn in the wild from level 10; no longer route starts lower. The Breeding Farm (Tech Level 19) and a Cake come first.
