Zombie variants — FAQ

What are blue zombies in 7 Days to Die?
Charged zombies. The game file colours them "Blue". 24 zombie types have one, with 1,000–2,500 HP and 1,400–1,675 XP, and a 10% chance to drop a loot bag.
What are orange zombies in 7 Days to Die?
Infernal zombies — the file labels the colour "Red", but its value (RGB 2.7, 0.8, 0) is mostly red with some green, which reads as orange. 23 zombie types have one: 1,600–3,100 HP, 1,700–2,700 XP. They are the toughest variant.
What are green zombies in 7 Days to Die?
Radiated zombies (file colour "Green"): 32 types, 800–2,200 HP. In 30 of them the file adds a regeneration effect that triggers when they take damage.
What is a feral zombie?
The first step up from a regular zombie. 33 types have one; in each, the feral has 1.3–4.0 times the regular version's health (Joe: 125 → 500 HP). The file gives ferals no special colour.
