7 Days to Die Medicine & Status Effects
To cure an infection in 7 Days to Die, take Antibiotics (25% cure each), Herbal Antibiotics (10% cure each) or Jar of Honey (5% cure each). Untreated, a mild infection becomes infection at 14% and severe infection at 57%; at 100% it kills you.
Bandage, First Aid Bandage, First Aid Kit or Sewing Kit stop Bleeding; a Splint or Plaster Cast treats sprained and broken limbs; Painkillers cure a Concussion; Vitamins end Fatigue. Every value is read from the V3.3 game files.
Infection: stages and cure
Infection runs on a meter from 0 to 100%. A critical hit can start it, and the game warns that further zombie or animal hits make it worse. It climbs at the world's Infection Rate setting (0 switches infection off) and kills at 100%. Cure items fill a separate cure meter while you keep taking them — “You have taken antibiotic medicine which will reduce infection that you may be suffering. You can stack antibiotic medicines to increase duration.”
