How to read it

  • A container is a loot table. Its entries lead through groups to items; the finder follows every path and keeps the loot-stage windows in which the path's probability is above zero.
  • Loot stage is the column of the tables' probability templates. “Every stage” means no template closes it; “stages 30–107” means it can appear only inside that window.
  • Count is what a single entry gives (for example 8–20 for scrap). It is not a chance.
  • Only 12 container types are plotted on the interactive map; the link in the last column opens that layer.

7 Days to Die loot finder — FAQ

Where do I find a specific item in 7 Days to Die?
Pick it in the finder: it lists every one of the 144 world containers whose loot table can end in that item. 12 of those container types are plotted on the Navezgane map (843 pins), the rest are too common to map.
What is loot stage?
A number the loot tables use to unlock items: some entries only open after a stage (a probability template of 0 below it) and some close again above one. The slider runs to 165, the last stage at which a window closes. Perks and gear that raise loot stage are listed on their own pages; the Rogue Head armor piece says "Increases loot stage".
Does the finder show drop chances?
No. It shows which containers can hold an item and in which loot-stage window. The probability weights, groups that give all their items, forced rolls and the loot abundance setting are applied by the game's code and are not in the files, so any percentage would be our guess.
Why is an item I look for missing?
702 items have a loot-table entry in a world container. Things you only mine, harvest or craft (sand, tires, most plants) have none; their pages on the resource database say how to get them.
