How to get water in 7 Days to Die

  1. Get an Empty Water Jar — 62 kinds of container can hold one, traders sell them, and the Forge makes them. 15 of the 16 drinks are set to hand the jar back when you finish them (the world's jar-refund setting has the final say).
  2. Use the jar on any water source to fill it with Murky Water: 10 Water, 5 Health lost and a 12% dysentery risk per drink.
  3. Boil it: Campfire with a Cooking Pot turns 1 Murky Water into 1 Water (20 Water, no risk). The recipe is known from the start.
  4. Or let a Dew Collector fill jars for you: 1 empty jar → Murky Water every 6–10 game hours, Water once a Water Filter is fitted (9 output slots). Its three mods are on the farming page.
