Desert hazard and the Desert Gear
- Blowing SandsSand and dust fill your lungs. A Sunstroke Tonic, taking shelter, or crafting survival gear will help extend your survival time.
- SuffocatingYou are suffocating. Seek shelter or fresh air now.
Negates the sand and dust filled air found throughout the Desert biome. Does not protect against temperature or storms.
Temporarily reduces biome hazard effects and grants faster movement while in the Desert.

- Sand Storm: Stage 1The blowing sand is slowing all movements by 10%. Food and Water consumption is increased by 100%. Seek shelter to recover.
- Sand Storm: Stage 2The sand is too intense causing you to lose 2 health per second. Reduce the damage by 50% with a Sunstroke Tonic. Seek shelter to recover.
- Sand Storm: RecoveryYou are recovering from the sand storm.
The Desert Gear text says it "does not protect against temperature or storms".
