In Project Zomboid, the Life and Living TV channel is the one that teaches: over its first 9 days, 25 of its shows carry skill XP or a recipe — Fishing, Cooking, Carpentry, Agriculture, Foraging, Trapping, and the recipes Make Cake Batter, Make Fishing Rod, Make Pie Dough, Make Crate Trap. Each line of a teaching show gives 50 XP in its skill, once per character, and stops counting once the skill reaches level 3 (the “Maximum Media XP Level” sandbox option, 3 in every preset).

VHS tapes that teach skills

62 of the game's 283 VHS tapes teach something — 48 store tapes and 14 home videos. A tape teaches exactly the way a TV show does: each line that carries a skill gives 50 XP once per character, up to skill level 3, and some lines teach a recipe.
