Seatruck and Modules: How to Get Each in Below Zero
The Seatruck needs 3 fragments, and each of the five fragment-based modules needs 3 more. The map holds 15 fixed module pieces in 3 areas, and 3 of them are in Shallow Twisty Bridges, so one trip there covers most of the list.

- Module pieces15in 3 areas

I took this page from the recipe table and the fragment pins, not from a play-through. Where the files stop, the page says so.

The 4 steps at a glance
- Build the truck from 3 fragments.
- Pick the modules you want.
- Collect the pieces by area, not module by module.
- Upgrade the truck.
Step 1: Build the Seatruck
Seatruck unlocks after you scan 3 fragments (3 s a scan). The map holds 2 fixed pins in 2 areas, and the spawner tables list it too, so some pieces are rolled at random in each new game and are not on the map.
Every module below is built at the Mobile Vehicle Bay and attaches to the truck. See the vehicle overview for the bay.
Seatruck is crafted at the Mobile vehicle bay from 1 Titanium ingot, 1 Advanced wiring kit, 2 Glass, 3 Lead, 1 Power cell. Counted down to raw materials that is 5 Titanium, 4 Copper ore, 4 Quartz, 4 Ribbon Plant, 3 Lead, 2 Silver ore, 2 Table coral sample, 1 Creepvine seed cluster, 1 Gold. The game describes it as "One-person sea-and-space vehicle."
| Area | Depth | On the map |
|---|---|---|
| Purple Vents | 101 m below sea level | Open pin |
| Shallow Twisty Bridges | 109 m below sea level | Open pin |
Step 2: Pick the modules
Seven modules are in the recipe table. Five unlock from fragments. The Teleportation module is tied to a story goal: when the Tether Tool reaches you, the game unlocks its blueprint. For the Planter module the files hold no fragment, data box, scan or goal, so how it unlocks is not in what I read.
| Module | Fragments | Fixed pins | Made of (raw) | What the game says |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 3 | 1 | 5 Titanium, 3 Lead, 2 Lithium, 2 Silver ore | Attachable seatruck module that provides extra storage | |
| 3 | 3 | 5 Titanium, 3 Lead, 2 Copper ore, 2 Lithium, 2 Table coral sample, 1 Gold | Attachable seatruck module for fabricating tools and equipment | |
| 3 | 5 | 5 Titanium, 4 Creepvine sample, 3 Lead, 2 Lithium | Make your seatruck feel more like a home! | |
| 3 | 5 | 5 Titanium, 3 Lead, 2 Copper ore, 2 Lithium, 2 Silver ore, 2 Table coral sample, 1 Gold | Rear-only Seatruck docking module allows you to take your Prawn Suit along for the ride! | |
| 3 | 1 | 5 Titanium, 4 Quartz, 4 Silver ore, 2 Diamond, 2 Lead, 2 Lithium | Attachable seatruck module that collects live specimens from the external environment. | |
| story goal | 0 | 5 Titanium, 2 Copper ore, 2 Gel sack, 2 Lithium, 2 Ruby, 2 Silver ore, 2 Table coral sample, 1 Gold | Seatruck module that provides a teleportation destination pairing for the tether tool. | |
| not in the files | 0 | 5 Titanium, 2 Lithium | Attachable seatruck module for planting things. |
Step 3: Collect the pieces by area
The table counts the fixed pieces of the five fragment-based modules by area. A module needs 3 pieces, and the Storage, Fabricator and Aquarium modules have fewer placed pieces than that (1, 3 and 1), so the rest are random finds that the map cannot show, and the spawner tables do list all three.
| Area | Pieces | Which modules |
|---|---|---|
| Purple Vents | 11 | Fabricator Module 1, Sleeper Module 5, Docking Module 4, Aquarium Module 1 |
| Shallow Twisty Bridges | 3 | Storage Module 1, Fabricator Module 2 |
| Lily Pads | 1 | Docking Module 1 |
Step 4: Upgrade the truck
The files give no depth or speed figures for the upgrades, only a one-line description each. The Depth upgrades stack in three crafted steps: MK2 and MK3 are made at the Modification station from the one before it.
| Upgrade | Crafted at | Ingredients | Fixed piece |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fabricator | 1 Plasteel ingot, 2 Enameled glass | no fragment in the files | |
| Modification station | 2 Ruby, 1 Enameled glass, 1 Seatruck Depth Upgrade MK1, 1 Synthetic fibers | no fragment in the files | |
| Modification station | 1 Seatruck Depth Upgrade MK2, 3 Nickel ore, 2 Kyanite, 1 Plasteel ingot | no fragment in the files | |
| Fabricator | 1 Advanced wiring kit, 1 Lubricant, 1 Lithium | 2 fragments, 0 pinned | |
| Fabricator | 1 Wiring kit, 1 Power cell, 2 Lithium, 2 Crystalline sulfur | 2 fragments, 0 pinned | |
| Fabricator | 1 Computer chip, 2 Diamond, 1 Benzene | no fragment in the files | |
| Fabricator | 1 Computer chip, 2 Ruby, 1 Power cell, 1 Polyaniline | no fragment in the files | |
| no station listed | 1 Titanium | no fragment in the files |
Common mistakes
- Chasing one module at a time. The table shows the pieces cluster, so collect by area.
- Expecting a map pin for every piece. The Storage module has 1 placed piece and needs 3.
- Looking for the Teleportation module's fragment. The files hold none: the Tether Tool unlocks it.
About these numbers
Every number here is read from the game files of the Steam build of 12 Aug 2025. Fixed pins and recipes are exact. Spawn chances come from a model of the game's spawner tables and have not been checked in a running game. Anything the files do not hold is marked on the page.
The area labels are the map's own, taken from the game's biome map at each pin, and ignore depth.
