Project Zomboid Item IDs (Build 42)
Every item in Project Zomboid has an ID in module.item form — Base.Axe, Base.Nails — and that ID, not the name on screen, is what /additem and mods take. Search all 4,881 below and copy a ready command, or open a group for the full table with icons.
Read from the Build 42 dedicated server's item scripts (depot manifest of 09/23/2026); names are the game's own English names. Developer test items (DisplayCategory Hidden) are left out.

Type part of a name or ID; add a player name if the item is for someone else, and copy the finished /additem command. All the other admin commands are on the console commands page.

Want to know where an item spawns rather than spawn it? The Knox County map has an item finder: pick an item and it rings the buildings whose rooms can hold it, with its recipes and the vehicles, bags and zombies it turns up in.
