Sons of the Forest enemies FAQ

What is the final boss in Sons of the Forest?
The final boss of the game is the Mutant Boss, faced at the climax of the story. There are also earlier boss encounters — the mutated Mr and Mrs Puffton and a much larger Demon Boss in the caves.
What are the mutants in Sons of the Forest?
The above-ground mutants include Fingers (a fast crawling mutant), Twins (a conjoined mutant), Armsy (a towering many-armed horror), Legsy, the mutant baby and Creepy Virginia. They appear later in the game and are far deadlier than cannibals.
How do you kill Armsy in Sons of the Forest?
Armsy is one of the deadliest regular enemies — it tears through structures and lashes with many arms. Fight it in open space with ranged weapons (rifle, bow), set traps, and keep moving so it can't corner you. Explosives and the chainsaw also do heavy damage.
How do you deal with demons in Sons of the Forest?
Demons live in the deepest caves and hit extremely hard in melee. The cross (crucifix) repels them, so carry it into demon caves; fire and ranged weapons help too. Avoid getting surrounded in tight tunnels.
Are cannibals dangerous in Sons of the Forest?
Cannibals start manageable but scale up the longer you survive — they travel in larger tribes, grow more aggressive, and gold-masked leaders rally the others. Variants like fire, painted and spear-throwing (Eddy) cannibals each need a different approach.
How many enemies are in Sons of the Forest?
There are dozens of enemy variants across cannibals, mutants, cave creatures and bosses. This bestiary covers the 22 notable ones players search for, including 4 bosses, each with its behaviour and console spawn command.
