How treasure dig sites work
Each treasure-map marker is a single-use dig site. With a treasure map item in your inventory, travel to the marker and dig. The map is consumed and the dig spot rewards you with Ancient Civilization Parts (the gating material for endgame Tech), rare schematics, and gear drops. Once dug, the site is permanently cleared from your save — there's no respawn.

Strategy tips
- Bring a treasure map item from your inventory before traveling — the dig prompt only appears when you have the matching item.
- Sakurajima (DLC) hosts the densest non-Other cluster (10 sites) — endgame players can stack a DLC dig route.
- Treasure sites often spawn near level-30+ enemies — bring a combat Pal before approaching.
- Ancient Civilization Parts from treasure digs feed late-game Tech crafts that gate weapons, armor, and base structures.
Frequently asked
- How many treasure dig sites are in Palworld?
- 42 mapped on Pindrop across 9 regions. Sakurajima (DLC) and Twilight Dunes host the densest clusters — 10 and 7 respectively.
- How do you use a treasure map in Palworld?
- Get a treasure map item dropped from an enemy or bought from a merchant. With the map in your inventory, travel to one of the dig markers. Approach the spot and a dig prompt appears — confirm to consume the map and receive the rewards.
- What's inside a Palworld treasure dig site?
- Rewards include Ancient Civilization Parts (the late-game crafting bottleneck), rare schematics for high-tier weapons and armor, and bulk consumables. Drop tables vary by region tier.
- Do treasure dig sites respawn in Palworld?
- No. Each dig site is a one-time reward — once dug, the marker is permanently cleared in your save. New maps lead to new sites; you can't farm the same dig twice.
