My Summer Car Grandma: Deliveries and Pay
The grandma phones for either fish or groceries. With a fish order open, a fresh pike pays 100 MK and a grilled one 200 MK; with a grocery order, milk, sugar and sausages pay 65 MK together against 23.40 MK on Teimo's shelf. Drop the goods in her potato box, then sit with her for coffee to be paid. A lift to the church adds 500 MK.

Visiting the grandma at Mummola is part chore, part payout. The pay comes from three scripts: the phone call that opens an order, the potato box that prices what you drop in it, and the coffee scene that turns it into money. These five steps follow that order.

The 5 steps at a glance
Values are read from the grandma's scripts in the 2023 build; the order logic is our reading of how they connect.
- Wait for her call. Fish, groceries or a lift.
- Get what she asks for. Pike, or milk, sugar and sausages.
- Drop it in the potato box. Still, within 20 units.
- Sit for coffee. 8:00 to 14:00.
- Give her a lift. 500 MK extra.
Step 1: Wait for her call
She rings by day with one of three requests. Fish: "Hi it is grandma here! Could you bring me some fish when you have time... I rather not go to lake with my bad feet." Groceries: "Hi it is grandma here calling! Could you bring me some milk, sugar and sausages from Teimo's. I am not feeling like going to town..." And a lift: "Grandma here! Could you take me to the church? If not possible, I can try to walk myself... Thats all!" Each call sends an event (FISH or GROCERIES) to the job script, which opens the matching order; it keeps one flag for fish and one for groceries and never opens both at once.
Her house is the Mummola pin on the jobs layer.
Step 2: Get what she asks for
The potato box prices five items by name. The base price applies to any item you drop; when the open order matches the item, the script routes it to a second, larger price instead. Read from the wiring of the box script:
| Item | Teimo's shelf | Pays with its order open | Pays with no order |
|---|---|---|---|
| Milk | 5.50 MK | 20 MK | 3 MK |
| Sugar | 6.95 MK | 15 MK | 2 MK |
| Sausages | 10.95 MK | 30 MK | 5 MK |
| Fresh pike | not sold | 100 MK | 10 MK |
| Grilled pike | not sold | 200 MK | 20 MK |
Where the pike comes from
Pike come from the fish trap; the fishing guide shows how it works. Teimo does not sell fish. The grill and fireplace at the cottage handle the grilled kind, but the grilling steps are not in our data.
About the "State" labels
In the file, the two larger prices sit under the names State 1 to State 5. The pike and grocery steps each test an order flag and, if it is set, jump to one of them: pike to State 1, grilled pike to State 2, sugar to State 3, sausages to State 4, milk to State 5. We have not play-tested this mapping.
Step 3: Drop it in the potato box
The box counts items that enter its trigger while you are within 20 units, and it waits until the item has stopped moving before it reads the name. The names it recognises are pike(itemx), grilled pike(itemx), milk(itemx), sausages(itemx), sugar(itemx). Each counted item adds its price to a running delivery total and stays parked in the box. As we read the box script, once you are more than 20 units away it destroys what is in the box and sets the total back to 0, so drop the goods and go straight to the coffee.
Step 4: Sit for coffee
She only talks between 8:00 and 14:00 on the in-game clock, and you must be within 30 units. Stay near ("Good day, good day! Here have some coffee.") and listen: each of her comments you hear within 5 units counts. After 3 to 9 rounds of coffee she pays: 10 MK per comment you heard plus the deliveries total, never below 20 MK or above 1,000 MK.
If an order was open and the deliveries are above 1 MK, the order is cleared afterwards and she will ring again later.
A tattoo cuts the payout
If the player's Tattoo flag is set the script divides the money by 2.5 before paying. We do not know how a tattoo is acquired from the files.
Step 5: Give her a lift
Early on day 7 she asks for a ride to the church. She boards when your car stops within about 4 units, and only if you drive the Satsuma, the Ferndale or the Ruscko. On the way she says "Oh it is so nice to sit down in a car. My legs are starting to hurt already." and later "I would be so happy if you could take me back to home.". Drop her off ("Here we are, thank you so much. Please visit me whenever you can!") and the script sets a bonus flag that adds 500 MK to your next coffee payout, so a visit can reach 1,500 MK.
Common mistakes
- Bringing groceries for a fish order. Mismatched items pay only the base price (3 MK for milk).
- Buying milk, sugar and sausages with no order. They cost 23.40 MK and pay 10 MK.
- Coming outside her hours. She talks only between 8:00 and 14:00.
- Skipping the coffee. The payout happens in the coffee scene, not when you drop the goods.
- Dropping the goods and walking off. Past 20 units the box script clears them and zeroes the total.
About these numbers
These are the start-of-game values in the files of build v.231210-01 (10 Dec 2023). Steam's latest build is v.250908-01 (8 Sep 2025), and its notes say some store prices keep rising as adverts are delivered, so prices and pay in the current game may differ.
The prices, hours and the 500 MK bonus are values in the 2023 build's scripts. The mapping of orders to the larger prices is read from how the scripts connect and has not been checked in play.
