Bellwright Maiden Voyage: Part Two to Halmare Isles
Maiden Voyage is Bellwright's free v2.0 update, released on 9 December 2025. It carries the story off the mainland to the Halmare Isles, a new expedition region — about a quarter the size of Karvenia and over 10 km² by the official press release — with a branching story between three factions. You get there through the last mainland quests and a Dockyard you build yourself.
How to start it
The arc begins after the mainland campaign ends. Once every mainland village is liberated, an elder hands you Lord of the Lowlands; then The Time Has Come sends you against the Brigands' Headquarters. Kill Lord Ashbourne there and loot his letter — the Letter of Ashbourne is what starts Part Two.

Part Two and On a Great Cruise, step by step
The wiki warns that journals name these steps differently by version: if yours already covered the Dockyard and the voyage under Part Two, On a Great Cruise is that same stretch. Follow your journal; the steps are the same.
- Read the Letter of Ashbourne in your inventory.
- Talk to The Butcher in the tavern at Crasmere.
- Find Gilroy Loxley at his mountain camp (where exactly is disputed — see below). On a Great Cruise also has you talk to Amelie Felltoir in Haerndean before and after him; Part Two calls that talk optional.
- Research and build a Dockyard on the coast.
- Use the finished Dockyard's ship and choose to travel to the Halmare Isles. The first crossing plays an intro cinematic. Save before you sail.
Where is Gilroy Loxley?
The wiki contradicts itself. Part Two's page puts his camp in the mountains near Haerndean (“Mountain Peak”); On a Great Cruise says the mountains west of Horndean; the Quests index just says “Coast”; and his own page says his location needs confirming. Since v2.0, quest markers stay on the map until the step is done, so the marker is the reliable guide.
The Dockyard
The Dockyard is the late-game building that sails you to the isles. It must sit on the coastline with open-sea access — a riverbank won't do, and the River Dock only travels within Karvenia. Players pick the flat coast near Farnworth.
The wiki's Dockyard article lists, from game data:
Research
- Needs an Apprentice Engineer and 100 reputation
- 10 Cured Rope
- 20 Hardwood Plank
- 10 Iron Nails
- 380 coins
Build
- 100 Hardwood Plank
- 38 Iron Nails
- 35 Hardwood Log
- 32 Rope
- 25 Thatch
These figures are the article's (last edited February 2026). Our tech tree has the Dockyard as an Age 2 building from game data but no game-data research table for it, so the two could not be cross-checked. The hardwood is the bottleneck: stockpile planks near the coast before you place the blueprint.
The Halmare Isles quests
The isles are contested by three factions — the native Halmayans, the Cassians and the occupying Falsgar. The wiki's Quests page warns that finishing one faction's loyalty quests can lock you out of a rival's (its example: Blue Sky for the Cassians against Chasing the Sky for the Halmayans). Patch notes name the Orchard and the Distillery as conditional rewards for completing the Halmare story.
These are the 13 quests that page names. None has its own wiki page yet: no giver, location, reward or order is documented.

- Gilroy Loxley's location — four different answers on the wiki.
- Whether your journal calls the Dockyard stage Part Two or On a Great Cruise.
- Every Halmare Isles quest: giver, place, rewards and order.
- Which faction choices lock out which quests, beyond the one example.
- The Dockyard costs against the game-data tables our tech tree uses.
