Where to find Magnetite

A model from the game's spawner tables, not checked in a running game. A new game rolls every spawn again: this is where Magnetite can appear, not where it is in your save.

How to read the chances

The game rolls most of its resources again for every new game. This page counts the 1,288,139 spawn slots baked into the game's world and the table each slot uses; a resource's expected spawns in a biome are the sum of the chances of its slots there. The depth band gives the depth where 10% and 90% of the modelled spawns lie, with the median between. It is a model read from the game's data and code and has not been checked in a running game.

The same chances are drawn as heat layers on the map. To see what a raw material goes into, use the crafting calculator; the checklist covers the finds that are placed at a fixed spot.

Game files: Steam build 20241558 (3 Oct 2025). Resources the game places at fixed spots are pins on the map; the loose ones here are the rolled ones.
