Best Enshrouded Survivor Build 2026 — Crafter Gatherer
Resource-engine build for base-builders. Lumberjack + Miner + Mason multiply yields; Quality Gear + Fisherman's Resolve round out the gathering loop.
Survivor is Enshrouded's "everything else" archetype — base-building, stamina sustain, gathering bonuses, food-buff scaling. It rarely runs as a primary combat class, but every successful late-game character dips 5-15 points into Survivor for Stamina Cap + Double Jump.
This guide covers the dedicated Crafter Survivor preset — the base-building specialist profile — plus how to layer Survivor onto Ranger or Warrior as a survivability dip.
Skills in this build
Stat priority
- Primary
- Constitution — keeps you alive in low-aggro zones while you farm; gathering pulls aggro from passing fauna.
- Secondary
- Strength — Mason and Miner both pay off STR pips with bonus yield from heavy nodes.

Early game
Flame 0-1 · Lv 1-10
Weapons
Well Rested + Lumberjack loop. Wooden pickaxe + Hatchet covers the first oak-and-copper circuit around your base.
Mid game
Flame 2-3 · Lv 10-25
Miner + Mason online. Trailblazer's carry-weight bonus pays back your first Nomad Highlands ore run.
Best in slot
Flame 4-5 · Lv 25-40
Weapons
Fisherman's Resolve caps the engine. Fur Armor Set opens Albaneve mining loops without cold-damage tax.
Playstyle
Opener
Plot a fixed circuit between resource clusters near your base. Start at the closest oak grove — Lumberjack triples wood yield per swing, so a single tree is a 30-log payday.
Main rotation
Wood → ore → stone → fish. Rotate clusters instead of grinding one; respawn timers stagger and Quality Gear stretches durability across all three tools.
Positioning
Stay within 60 seconds of your Flame Altar or Spire. Fast-travel covers the return haul — carry-weight food + Trailblazer's Set makes every trip worth it.
Cooldown usage
Well Rested only triggers after a sleep at the Flame Altar; make a bed. Fisherman's Resolve is passive — just leave a rod at your dock.
Boss phase
Don't. Respec before any boss attempt — 3 scrolls flips the Crafter into Sword & Board or Ranger Sniper for the fight, then flip back.
Strengths & weaknesses
Pros
- Highest gathering yield in the game — 2-3x raw resource throughput vs un-specced
- Plays nicely with any combat build in co-op; trade resources for protection
- Cheap to maintain — no respec needed as you scale
Cons
- Useless for combat content; respec required before any boss attempt
- Boring to play in long sessions — gathering isn't gameplay variety
- Wasted on solo-combat-focused players; co-op only justifies it
Synergies & counters
Pairs with
- Sword & Board Tank — Co-op partner soaks bandit ambushes while you funnel mats into the group's crafting queue.
- Ranger Sniper — Clears passing fauna before it reaches your resource cluster; you pay the group in stockpiled ingots.
- Healer Support — Second non-combat role in 4-player groups. Both let the DPS free-roam bosses while the base scales.
- Battlemage Hybrid — Escorts you through mid-tier biomes so higher-yield nodes stay farmable.
Struggles against
- Aggressive solo pushes — Weapon-light kit can't fight back once mid-tier mobs aggro. Respec before pushing new biomes solo.
- Boss-rush sessions — Gathering doesn't move the boss timer. Skip the run or hand the seat to a combat build.
- Shroud-heavy caves — Fell packs swarm the tight tunnels; no Absorb, no Battle Heal — you die in 4 hits.
- Time-pressure PvP-lite events — Multi-target aggression collapses the loop. Bring a combat co-op partner or reroll for the event.

Why pick these skills in this order (expand per-band focus)
Lv 1-15
WELL_RESTED + LUMBERJACK for the wood loop. Cheap, immediate payoff.

FISHERMAN'S_RESOLVE as the side income; everything else stays.
Recommended gems
Carry Weight
Chest — the single highest-value gathering QoL; more ore per haul.
Stamina Regen
Legs — every swing costs stamina; regen means longer chopping loops.
Armor
Helmet — you're not dodging, so soak the occasional bandit ambush cleanly.

Crafter Survivor — the base-building specialist
If you're the co-op group's base-builder, this is your build. Skill priorities: Stamina Cap (lets you swing tools longer), Double Jump (vertical traversal for build placement), Gathering Bonuses (faster material accumulation), Food Buff Duration (extends every consumable).
The Crafter doesn't carry in combat — pair with Ranger or Warrior co-op partners. Solo play with this build means avoiding boss fights and focusing on world map / base / crafting goals.
Open the Crafter preset in the planner to see the exact picks + attribute spread.
Survivor as a survivability dip (for other archetypes)
Ranger Sniper + 8 points Survivor. Stamina Cap line keeps you kiting through long fights. Bow builds are stamina-hungry — Survivor's stamina-regen passives close the gap.
Berserker Barbarian + 12 points Survivor. Greatsword + hammer builds bleed stamina; without the Survivor dip you'll run out of swings mid-Hollow Halls clear.
Sword & Board Tank + 5 points Survivor. Block-and-parry rhythms need stamina sustain too — even tank builds benefit from the basic Survivor stamina dips.
Athlete sub-archetype — mobility focus
Survivor's Athlete sub-tree adds Double Jump, Updraft, and movement-speed passives — useful for both base-building (vertical placement) and combat (gap-close + disengage). Often dipped by Assassin builds for the Updraft synergy.
Athlete-leaning Survivor builds work well in Albaneve Summits + Veilwater Basin where vertical traversal matters most.
Weapon + armor recommendations
Survivor is weapon-agnostic — pair with your matched archetype. Crafter Survivors usually run Bow (DEX) or 1H Sword + Shield (STR/CON) for self-defence.
Armor: Adventurer Set (early game) → Ranged Armor (DEX builds) or Melee Armor (STR builds). Magic Armor is rare for Survivor since the archetype doesn't scale spell damage.
Co-op role
Crafter Survivor is the dedicated base-keeper in co-op groups of 3-4 — manages workbenches, food production, base defence, and material runs while combat archetypes handle Hollow Halls + boss encounters.
Pure-Crafter is rare in solo runs; combat-leaning Survivor variants (with Ranger or Warrior dips) are more common. Use the skill calculator to plan the hybrid spread.
FAQ
- Is Crafter Survivor good for combat?
- No. It's a base-builder/gatherer specialty. Respec to a Warrior or Mage template before bosses; the planner deep-link is the cheapest pivot.
- Does this build work in co-op?
- Yes — pair with a tank or DPS partner. Your gathering throughput funds the team's gear; they handle combat encounters.
- When should I drop this build?
- Once your base is built and your resource stockpile covers the next 2 biomes' crafting needs. Respec into a combat archetype for active play.
